Emily - Club Manager & Lead Coach

Emily's love of gymnastics started long ago with her mom, who coached her in their backyard (and was also the first gymnast from Waupun HS to go to State!) Emily competed for the Fond du Lac YMCA through Level 8 and also was a part of the Waupun High School team, qualifying individually for State her Junior year. She started coaching 25 years ago with Summer School at WASD and hasn't stopped since. Her parents signed her up and the rest is history. Her favorite thing about coaching is seeing her athletes gain confidence and strength, as well as when a gymnasts gets through skill blocks and conquers their fears!
Her favorite coaching memory is when an athlete had been trying to learn a squat-on on the bars for months and when it clicked and she finally got the skill the whole class stopped to cheer with her! Ellie - Events Coordinator & Office Assistant
Gymnastics has been a part of Ellie's life since before she could remember - starting with being towed along to all her big sisters meets and eventually doing classes and competing with the YMCA in Fond du Lac herself! She spent even more time in the gym as both her parents were the WHS coaches for many years, and had the privilege of them being her HS coaches as well as coach Emily (aka her oldest sister!). She started coaching in middle school with the summer school gymnastics classes and eventually coaching with Waupun Gymstars for many years! Although she spent many years coaching, Ellie is happy to be on the administrative side of the organization now, as well as the "mom" side! Seeing her daughters grow in skill and enjoyment of the sport is such a blessing!
